I grew up in Amsterdam, New York, a small city in the Mohawk Valley. I went to college at Union College in Schenectady, and grad school at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy. Having spent most of my life in the Albany area or not too far from there, I have a lot of favorite restaurants. In Amsterdam, try the Raindancer Steak Parlor or Russo's Grill. In Schenectady, try Morrette's Steak Sandwiches. In Colonie, visit Pizza Mare.
